Visiting scholars Mr. Rafal Felbur, Prof. Keum Hieyeon, Mr. Shim Jaemin, and Mr. Salvador Marco have registered at Center for Chinese Studies on December 23, 30, 31, 2013 and January 2, 2014.

Mr. Rafal Felbur is a Polish scholar who is currently a doctoral candidate at Department of Religious Studies, Stanford University. His research topic is “Anxiety of Emptiness: Sengrui 僧叡 and the Problem of Personal Identity in Early Chinese Buddhism.” His research period is from January to December, 2014. His host institute in Taiwan is Department of Philosophy, National Chengchi University.

Prof. Keum Hieyeon is a Korean scholar who is currently a professor at Department of International Relations, University of Seoul. His research topic is “Cooperation and Conflicts in the Taiwan Strait: Implications for the Korean Peninsula.” His research period is from January to March, 2014. His host institute in Taiwan is Center for Korean Studies, National Chengchi University.

Mr. Shim Jaemin is a Korean scholar who is currently a doctoral candidate at University of Oxford. His research topic is “The Expansion of Welfare State in Northeast Asia in Relation to Power Structures: An Analysis of Welfare Legislation Patterns in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.” His research period is from January to April, 2014. His host institute in Taiwan is Risk Society and Policy Research Center, National Taiwan University.

Mr. Salvador Marco is a Spanish scholar who is currently a doctoral candidate at Universitat Politecnica de Valencia. His research topic is “The Art of Taiwan's Aboriginal Cultures. Origin and Current Status.” His research period is from January to August, 2014. His host institute in Taiwan is Department of Sculpture, National Taiwan University of Arts.
