美國籍學人Toby Avalos 博士於112年6月6日報到，他是美國華盛頓森特勒利亞學院（Centralia College, Washington State, USA）副教授，研究主題為「Exploring African Contributions to the Liberation and Development of Taiwan During the 17th Century」，研究期間為112年6月至12月。在臺駐點機構為國立成功大學歷史學系(Department of History, National Cheng Kung University)及中央研究院臺灣史研究所(Institute of Taiwan History, Academia Sinica)。
