美國籍學人 Thomas Smith 教授於113年1月12日報到，他是美國北伊利諾斯大學（Northern Illinois University, USA）教授，研究主題為「Assessing, Comparing, and Predicting Pedagogical Self-Efficacy in Civic Scientific Literacy among Taiwanese Teachers」，研究期間為113年1月至7月。在臺駐點機構為國立中山大學公民素養推動研究中心 (The Research Center for Promoting Civic Literacy, National Sun Yat-sen University)及國立屏東大學研究發展處 (Research and Development Division, National Pingtung University)。
