Can I accept a position as a visiting professor in Taiwan during my research period?

It depends on the circumstances. As a grant recipient, you receive a grant from the MOFA for the period you carry out research in Taiwan, during which time you may also give talks and receive a lecture fee. However if you decide to teach on a part-time basis and receive an hourly rate for these classes, you may not exceed 4 teaching hours per week.
