Visiting scholar Mr. Samuel Pittman has registered at Center for Chinese Studies on February 2, 2017. Mr. Pittman is an American scholar who is currently a PhD candidate at Universität Würzburg, Germany. His research period is from January to December, 2017. His research topic is "The People of Xue Xuan (1389 - 1464): An Examination of the Social Networks of an Early Ming Philosopher Through his Writings and Other Historical Sources." His host institute in Taiwan are Institute of Modern History, Academia Sinica and Department of History, National Cheng Kong University.
