On September 25th, 2020, the National Central Library (NCL) held its annual Moon Festival Tea Party for visiting scholars at The Lin Family Mansion and Garden. The activity was hosted by NCL Director-General, Dr. Shu-Hsien Tseng and attended by 40 foreign scholars, along with their families, from 22 different countries. Director of Department of Policy Planning, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Klement Ruey-Sheng GU and Deputy Director General of Cultural Affairs Department, New Taipei City, Ms. Yu Wen were invited to give the welcome speech at the Fangjian Study.

Moon festival is the time for family reunions, for moon cakes, for appreciating the biggest and brightest full moon of the year. This year, the scholars gathered at the second-degree historical site—The Lin Family Mansion and Garden, immersing themselves in the beauty of traditional garden and music, and experience the joy of traditional activities. Moreover, they enjoyed the festival to the fullest with the light show arranged by the New Taipei City government.
