Visiting scholar, Gloria Mercado has registered at Center for Chinese Studies on January 6, 2025. She is a Filippino scholar who is a speaker at the Asian Center of Excellence in Development and Security (ACEDS). Dr. Mercado’s research period in Taiwan is from January to December, at the Institute for National Defense and Security Research (INDSR). Her research topic is "Governing the Soul of the Republic: Emotional Legitimacy, the National Sentiment Index, and the Affective Landscape of Philippine-Taiwan Relation".
